This makes other people feel good, and it gets your point across, and we need to do more of that in our technical community. Most of the ad hominem flame wars I see do the reverse: They criticize people in a very personal, general, and permanent way, like saying “So-and-so is a douchebag,” and the little praise they hand out is impersonal, specific and temporary “The framework he created was interesting when it first appeared, but so much has happened since then.”

Qué presente impresentable
Hace cosa de un año publicaba una imagen de una sesión típica de trabajo con Titerenet y Linux.
Ya no trabajo con Titerenet (ahora lo hago en Inthedir) y en Linux he dejado Gnome en favor de Xmonad (tiling window manager), una maravilla de la productividad.
Lo que no ha cambiado:
Navegador web (Firefox)
Cliente FTP (FileZilla)
IDE (Eclipse)
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Lo que sí ha cambiado:
Terminal (de Gnome Terminal a Roxterm)
Navegador de archivos (de Nautilus a Thunar) (sólo de vez en cuando)
Gestor de contraseñas (de Revelation a Keepassx) (También para Android)
Editores de texto (Gedit -como antaño- y vim)
